The Association for Project Managers is your organization. It is your source of information on the latest in industry project management trends, compensation and benefits and educational opportunities. APM is your clearinghouse for the latest seminars, and publications on project management and related topics.
APM is dedicated to information dissemination and education for project managers in design, construction and owner organizations. The Association offers seminars and other educational opportunities on project management and related topics, and provides speakers for workshops provided by many professional associations.
Our Mission: To promote project management excellence in the design and construction industry through knowledge sharing, education and quality management.
APM Consulting and Management Staff:
Howard Birnberg is president of Birnberg & Associates, a management consulting and association management firm and executive director of the Association for Project Managers. He is presently serving as an instructor on project management at the University of California-Berkeley Extension. For six years, he served as an instructor on project management in the Office of Executive Education at the Harvard University, Graduate School of Design.
Michael Birnberg is director of marketing for both Birnberg & Associates and for the Association for Project Managers. He has also been involved in the marketing programs for several Silicon Valley tech startups and has extensive knowledge of the workings of closely held firms.
Diane Mix is the director of communications for Birnberg & Associates and for the Association for Project Managers. She has been involved with APM since its 1990 founding and also has extensive knowledge in the workings of closely held businesses.
